Jammu Aug 02 :- While conducting grievance redressal at BJP headquarters, Jammu, Kavinder Gupta, former Dy. Chief Minister and Ranbir Singh Pathania, former MLA & J&K BJP Spokesperson, called upon officers to remain fair and just while dealing with youth-related issues.

It was impressed that the youth constitute the very backbone of the human resource of an area. We need to rectify the errors and slips of the past. These are wounds which have festered for decades and decades should be cured and wiped off by now. The BJP leaders were dealing with deputations of selected Financial Accounts Assistants and striking MGNREGA staff. While supporting their cause, Kavinder Gupta, called for immediate finalisation of selection process of FAAs. The government should sift between the genuine selectees and ingenuine ones, if found anywhere. Given the train of events in the past few weeks, a sort of uncertainty and restlessness has prevailed which is not good.  Striking GRSs called for immediate redressal of their cause and for acting on the draft proposal for giving them a quota in permanent absorption in the deptt. of RDD, enhancing their pay and provide other benefits on the pattern of those provided by neighbouring states. It was called upon the government to immediately engage with them and end the stalemate over here.

Grievance proceedings started with frantic calls and social media messages by the people of Basantgarh canvassing therein for immediate restoration of Ramnagar to Basantgarh road. Pertinent to mention here that this road has been blocked for traffic since more than one and a half month. All the subdivision offices including higher secondary schools, bank, Treasury, tehsil, niabat, CAPD and other offices have been totally cut off in all its essential services and lying in a limbo in this worst climate. While flashing a detailed memo to the Lt. Governor’s office it was embarked upon to get immediate survey by a dedicated team of Geological survey of India (GSI), restore the said road, develop an alternative route from Simni to Pattan to Basangarh or from Katorni to Chakal to Chakka to Basantgarh. Whereas, this road which acts as good as a lifeline of about one lakh population. It’s suspension shall also affect the ensuing Kailash Kund yatra supposed to take off in late August.

Vikas Choudhary, Secretary, J&K BJP also coordinated the proceedings where deputations including individual persons canvassed various issues related to the development of their respective areas and their other concerns.

Amongst issues pertaining to drinking water, electricity, NABARD roads, a wide rainbow of deputations called on in the BJP office with references and telephone calls to concerned officials.
