Kargil Jul 30 :- Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting to review and discuss preparations for celebrations of Har Ghar Tiranga event.
Superintending Engineer, R&B, Nissar Ahmad Bagh, Superintending Engineer, Hydraulics Maqbool Hussain, ACD Ghulam Mohammad, Manzoor Ahmad, District Treasury Officer Iftikhar Hussain, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CMO, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer I&FC, AD Tourism, other district officers, Association of Merchants, contractors and transporters attended the meeting.
While enquiring about the progress made on arrangements for Har Ghar Tiranga event scheduled for August 13-15, 2022, the DC said the event is aimed to hoist the National Flag at all houses, government offices and commercial units.
He informed that for the same 50,000 flags would be provided by the Centre Government while an additional 18,000 flags will be made available by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department with the help of Self Help Groups and local artisans and 25,000 by Culture Department.
DC Santosh instructed AD Tourism to ensure hoisting of the National Flag at all commercial buildings like hotels, shops and other business establishments.
The RD&PRD was instructed to ensure flag hoisting in rural areas, especially at BDO offices, Panchayat Ghars and private houses.
It is informed that the RD&PRD and Rations Stores of FCS&CA will provide flags at village level where public can purchase the same at a nominal charge of only Rs 30 which is also seen as a contribution to reflect their patriotism.
DC Santosh further instructed the officials to submit plan for various events to be conducted by the department during the 3-day long celebrations of 75th Independence Day.
The DC further instructed to sensitize and create awareness among the public to upload images of flag hoisting on Har Ghar Tiranga website and show mass participation in the event from Kargil District.
The associations of transport, contractors, hotels, Sainik Welfare, merchants and other civil societies also assured mass participation in the event.
