Srinagar Jul 21 :- The Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh chaired the Police Establishment Board meeting at Police Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by Special DGs RR Swain, AK Choudhary, Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K, HK Lohia, ADGPs SJM Gillani, Dr SD Singh Jamwal, MK Sinha, Sunil Kumar, Danesh Rana, Vijay Kumar and AIG Personnel PHQ, Ramesh Angral and officers of personnel section of Police Headquarter.
During the meeting, the role of personnel and SPOs on various fronts across the UT was discussed threadbare and accordingly decisions with regard to their conversion and out of turn promotions were taken. Though some cases were sent back to the concerned for re-examination.
During the meeting a large number of cases of SPOs were discussed for conversion as constables/followers while as 104 cases of out of turn promotions were discussed in different ranks. Most of the personnel recommended for conversion as well for out of turn promotions were approved. All these personnel have worked exceptionally well on operations front in different districts of UT.
During the discussion, the DGP directed the field officers to look personally into the citations and recommendations for medals, out of turn promotions and conversion so that deserving personnel are duly rewarded as per their role and contribution.
The participating officers submitted a number of suggestions which were discussed and DGP directed for following them on merit and as quick as possible.
Meanwhile, DGP also released the first edition of Vision & Mission Document Magazine (The Voice of PROANG) of J&K Police Retired Officers Association in a function held at Police Headquarters.
The DGP hoped that the J&K Police Retired Officers Association as a part of Police Pariwar would continue to contribute for the welfare of retired personnel and their families. He impressed upon PROANG to make more and more efforts for the betterment of the retired members of J&K Police by acting as a bridge between them and the police Department.
The DGP assured a Darbar with all retired Police personnel and officers and wished them good luck for the future. He assured all possible help to the association and said that the J&K Police is trying its best for the welfare of retired personnel and all the serving personnel are contributing for such measures.
Chairman PROANG, Ghulam Hassan Zargar, Senior Advisor PROANG M Jamal Khan and other members of the association were also present on the occasion.
