Jammu Jul 18 :- The Supreme Court collegium has also approved the proposal to elevate J&K Judicial Officer Rajesh Sekhri as a judge in the J&K and Ladakh High Courts. Apart from this, a recommendation has been sent to the Center to appoint seven lawyers as judges in the Allahabad High Court. Of these, five names are old and two are new names.
The recommendations were approved in a meeting of the Collegium held on July 14 under the chairmanship of CJI NV Raman. The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court currently has 11 judges including Chief Justice Pankaj Mitthal. Other judges of the high court include Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Justice Tashi Rabstan, Justice Sanjeev Kumar Shukla, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajneesh Oswal, Justice Vinod Chatterjee Kaul, Justice Sanjay Dhar and Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Rahul Bharti and Moksha Khajuria Kazmi. Huh.
Born in Jammu, Rajesh Sekri graduated from SD Sabha High Secondary School, Class X, Government Gandhi Memorial Science College in 1989. Joined as Munsif in 1995. Elevated as Deputy Judge in 1998 and as District and Sessions Judge in 2008.
He served as CJM, Rajouri and Kargil, Special Judge TADA/POTA Court Srinagar, Additional District Judge Anantnag, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, Principal District Judge, Reasi, Ramban and Baramulla.
