SrinagarJun 10 :- June: As part of initiatives undertaken to improve daily lives o marginalized sections of locals and students from far flung villages, Indian Army constructed a bridge connecting the Govt High School, Dardsun to the main Warsun road.
Srinagar, Col Emron Musavi said that the Locals from Dardsun which comes under Kralpora tehsil of district Kupwara had approached Indian Army for assistance in improving the connectivity between Dardsun and main road to ease the commute of school children and elders who had to take a long detour to reach the school. Indian Army undertook a Project to construct the bridge to provide direct access to the school thereby facilitating easy and fast movement of villagers.
The bridge was inaugurated by the Sarpanch of Dardsun Mushtaq Ahmad Mir in presence of residents from both villages. The residents of the villages, teachers and parents of children appreciated the efforts of the army and thanked for their assistance.
“ Indian Army is committed to the welfare and development of the people of Kupwara and is always in the forefront of such initiatives”,Musavi added.
