Ramban, June 02: Animal Husbandry Department, Ramban today launched a vaccination drive to eradicate Brucella disease in all blocks of the district. The vaccination drive forms part of the National Disease Control Programme (NADCP).
As per the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Bharat Bushan, the female calves within the age group of 4-8 months will be vaccinated against the Brucella disease. Such vaccinated female calves will be compulsorily ear tagged having UID (Unique Identification) number which shall be uploaded on the INAPH portal with the details of the owner of vaccinated female calves.
In the first phase, the programme shall be for the period of four months whereby all the female calves within the age group 4-8 months shall be vaccinated for eradication of the Brucella disease, he added.
