Doda, April 14: District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today visited Ghutasa panchayat where he  paid obeisance at ancient Bhount Nag temple and celebrated Baisakhi with the locals, besides listening to the issues of general public.

During the tour to the Panchayat, the DDC participated in the Bhount Nag mela which is organised by the locals on the eve of Baisakhi festival every year.

Meanwhile the DDC also interacted with the locals and listened to their issues. The locals demanded  up-gradation of  local Middle School to High school, completion of Panchayat Ghar, sanctioning of a health sub centre, construction of Yatri shed at ancient Bhount Nag temple, dismantling of unsafe school building, road from Ghutasa to Bhount Nag Mandir etc.

The DDC issued on the spot instruction to the concerned departments to redress the problems and demands immediately.  Besides, the concerned PRI member ensured to allocate funds for the completion of Panchayat Ghar under PRI grants.

For the sanctioning of the health sub centre the DDC directed the CMO to identify suitable land in coordination with the Tehaildar and send the proposal to the administrative department. The DDC member Bhaderwah West assured locals that some amount will be allocated for the construction of the yatri shed during the current financial year.

Local Dikku Dance and local food items were also showcased in the mela. The Mela witnessed huge footfall of the devotees  from the adjoining areas.  DDC Councillor Thakur Yudhvir and Tehsildar Bhaderwah also accompanied the DC.
