Jammu Apr 02 :-  Indian Army organised an interaction with Bakarwals at Salyote village in Sunderbani Tehsil in Rajouri (J&K). The event was aimed at enhancing cohesion and trust with migrant population and bidding them farewell as they commence their journey back to valley on onset of summers. A large number of Bakarwals attended the same.

The event was well received and appreciated by one and all. The interaction was aimed at listening to the problems and issues faced by the migratory community during their migration to higher reaches, their basic requirements pertaining to documentation for migration. The Awaam lauded the efforts of Indian Army for organising such a unique event for Gujjars and Bakarwals prior to the upcoming migratory season and attending to various issues and problems faced by the community. This initiative of Indian Army will benefit the Gujjar & Bakarwal community.
