Leh, Mar 30: A delegation of District Congress Committee (DCC), Leh led by its president Rigzin Namgail called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas today.
They raised the need for setting up a Sainik School in Ladakh. The delegation stated that this would enable students to receive quality education and provide better career opportunities, including joining the Armed Forces.
Another delegation from Barsoo led by Councillor Barsoo, Ghulam Mohd Ansari raised several issues related to the development of villages in Barsoo block, viz. providing telecommunication network and internet facilities, making the block headquarter functional, construction of a mini-secretariat at Barsoo block, promoting the potential of tourism activities in Barsoo block, construction of the Itchu-Rangdum road and Pangbar-Rusila via Sapi road, etc.
Founder, Ladakh Blood Donors Group, Nasir Hussain Zaidi, requested assistance in procuring an ambulance for the Ladakh Blood Donors Group and providing financial assistance to the Group.
