Jammu, March 28: A four day long Training and Certification programme for capacity building of Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitras (PMAMs) of jammu and Kashmir begins here on Monday.
The programme is being organized by State Health Agency (SHA) for capacity building of PMAMs towards successful implementation of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY)/AB PM-JAY SEHAT across Jammu and Kashmir.
On the first day, 200 PMAMs in four groups comprising 50 each participated in the training sessions held across different districts of the Union Territory.
In Kashmir region, 100 PMAMs in 2 different batches participated in Training and Certification programme.
The first batch of 50 PMAMs were from districts Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama while the second batch of 50 was from Budgam, Bandipora, Ganderbal and Kupwara.
Similarly, 100 PMAMs in two groups comprising 50 each from Kathua, Samba, Reasi and Udhampur districts of Jammu region participated in the programme.
Chief Executive Officer, SHA, Yásin M Choudhary, has asked the Chief Medical Officers (CMO) and Superintendent of all district hospitals to depute PMAMs for attending the training as per the schedule. He added that the arogya mitras play important role in implementation of AB PM-JAY- SEHAT scheme as they are being comprehensively trained in software use, patient registration and interaction.
