Leh, March 26: A market checking team made a surprise inspection of the general stores, restaurants and vegetable sellers at the market of Khaltse sub-division. The inspection team comprised Naib Tehsildar, Khaltse, Mohammad Yousuf; BMO Khaltse, Dr Chamba Laskit; Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS&CA department, Khaltsi, Tsering Angdus; police officials and other concerned officials.
A total of Rs 3,400 was collected from the defaulters. The team checked the food standards, hygiene, necessary documents and any form of Covid-19 violations in the market.
