Udhampur, March 25: The Red Ribbon Club of Government College for Women Udhampur, in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society and Dental Section, District Hospital Udhampur organised a a lecture cum demonstration session on Oral Health and Hygiene here on the College Campus.
The event was held under the convenorship of Dr, Kewal Kumar and guidance of Dr. Nitin Kudyar, Dental Consultant.
Dr. Dimpy Raina and Dr. Pooja Arora, dental Surgeons from DH Udhampur acted as resource persons.
They delivered an impactful lecture on oral health and other related problems. They discussed in detail the different aspects of oral hygiene, hormonal effects on oral health especially related to women, causes of dental decay and how to maintain overall dental health etc.
In second session, they demonstrated the right techniques of brushing and proper dietary habits to keep one’s denture healthy. In the last segment of the programme different queries were taken up by resource persons making it an interactive session.
Prof. Minu Mahajan, Principal of the college was chief guest on the occasion. She congratulated and appreciated Red Ribbon Club and dental section, District Hospital Udhampur for organizing this meaningful event. She encouraged students to inculcate good habits including dental care habits. She also emphasized on the relationship of dental health and overall well being.
Prof. Sumita Rao conducted the proceedings of the programme, while Prof. Sanjeev Upadhaya presented the formal vote of thanks.
Among others, Prof. A.K. Raina, Prof. Seema Sharma, Prof. Ashni Devi, Prof. Mushtaq, Dr. Dinesh Kumar and Prof. Tania Mahajan were present.
