Kulgam; march 23. In order to take first hand appraisal of issues and grievances of public for redressal, the District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district.
During the programme, several functions were held at Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora blocks of the district.
On the occasion, Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the public for timely redressal at all the three venues.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over a grievance redressal camp here at Kulgam and listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
People from Qaimoo, Behibagh, Frisal, Pombay, Kulgam, and other adjoining areas apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues and put forth their demands.
A delegation from Humpathry demanded augmentation of PHE staff to ensure smooth water supply in the area.
A delegation from Waripora demanded immediate construction of approach road of food bridge.
A delegation from Jogi Marg Nandimarg demanded for augmentation of staff at school.
People from various other areas also flagged their issue of their areas.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public, addressed some of the grievances on spot.
Meanwhile ADDC, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and SDM, Noorabad also remained present at block Devsar and D.H.Pora, where they listened to issues and grievances for redressal.
