Mayor, Deputy Mayor Starts The Construction Of Rooms Under “Housing For All” Scheme

Jammu, March 15  With an aim to provide best possible amenities to the needy & poor families, Mayor Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta along with Advocate Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor JMC & Suneet Kumar Raina councillor of ward no. 9 today conducted an extensive tour of Amphalla, Karan Nagar, old Rehari & its adjoining localities of ward no. 9, met with the locals and listened to their issues regarding maintenance of proper sanitation, lifting of door to door garbage collection in an effective manner, rectification and installation of LED lights, construction renovation of left over drains & lanes in the ward. Mayor listened to them with great patience and assured that all their genuine grievances will be sorted out on priority basis.

Besides this, Mayor alongwith Deputy Mayor & local councillor of ward no.9 also kick started the construction work of Rooms at Mohalla old Rehari behind Megh Sabha for seven number of eligible beneficiaries under PMAY (urban) which was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi Ji in June 2015.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that the main purpose of this vital scheme was to ensure ‘Housing For All” by the Year 2022 by providing requisite financial assistance to the eligible beneficiaries.

Deputy Mayor while speaking on the occasion also said that PMAY (Urban) is an extremely beneficial scheme for the poor & needy people and is going on on the right track and our Govt. & concerned officers are seriously working hard to complete the target which has been set under PMAY.

Sh. Suneet Kumar Raina local councillor also assured the beneficiaries who have today started the construction of rooms under this scheme in his ward that all will get their first installment of Rs 40,000 each as early as possible and make them sure that all type of support from the JMC & other its allied departments will be provided to them so that they can complete their work within the stipulated time without any hurdle and also appeal to the general public to come forward & take full benefits of all the centrally sponsored schemes specially meant for poor & downtrodden families. Madam Radha Sharma President Mahila Morcha BJP Jammu West, Madam Asha Gupta Secretary Mahila Morcha BJP Jammu West, Mr. Deepak Madan, Mr. Neeraj Katoch as well as other prominent inhabitants of the ward no.9 were remained present there during the occasion.
