DC Kupwara reviews preparedness for opening of schools

Kupwara, February 21: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of Education Officers to review the preparedness for opening of schools in the district.

Addressing the meeting, the DC asked all the officers to ensure attendance of children in the schools with adherence to Covid SOPs. He directed them to ensure vaccination of 15-17 year age group children before allowing them in schools.

The DC stressed the need for conducting recreational and sports activities in educational institutions for the children so that they will come out of anxiety and stress of home staying. He also directed the officers to put focus on moral education and inculcate the moral values among the students for their overall personality development.

The DC also interacted with the officers and heard their administrative and other issues of day to day nature.

Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Abdul Hamid, besides, Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, ZEOs and concerned representatives of Private Schools attended the meeting.
