Jammu, Feb 21: A delegation of Central Zone (Jammu-Samba-Kathua) led by former minister, Chairman SC/OBC Cell and Zonal President Central Zone, Babu Ram Paul today called upon Dr. Farooq Abdullah to discuss the present political scenario and future course of action.
While interacting with the party president, Babu Ram Paul alongwith other office bearers of the Central Zone discussed the second draft report of the Delimitation Commission and its resentment in the masses.
He briefed Dr. Abdullah about the working of the Central Zone. He informed the party high command that on their instructions a peaceful protest demonstration was organized by the Central Zone in Jammu, Samba and Kathua. He said that memorandums were submitted to the Deputy Commissioners in these three districts regarding the stand of the National Conference on second draft report of the Delimitation Commission.
He also informed that the office bearers of the Central Zone are tirelessly working to raise the genuine issues of the masses vociferously.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah while interacting with the party leaders directed them to raise the genuine issues of the public like unemployment, high inflation etc.
He said that National Conference is committed to strengthen the communal harmony and social fabric. He asked the cadres to work in this direction so that the communal forces are given a decisive reply. The office bearers of Central Zone took a pledge to strengthen the party at the grass root level.
Provincial President Sh Rattan Lal Gupta, Dr. Vikas Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Ashok Attri, Adv Rajinder Chanayal, Amrish Sharma, also spoke on the occasion.
