Jammu Feb 18 :- OBCS leaders called Ravinder Raina for the inclusion of Julaha, Bafinda, Kasb, Ansari (weaver) caste, Community, class (other than in Scheduled class) in the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory list of Other Social Castes (OSCs) and other Backward Classes (OBCs) at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Deputation of OBCs leaders under the leadership of BJP Poonch District President Mohd. Rafiq Chishti accompanied by Manzoor Hussain and other OBCs leaders namely Sajad Nizami, Mushtaq Ahmed and Mohd. Mehfooz called upon J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina to present their issues.
OBCs leaders said that these communities under the Mandal Commission report is included in the OBCs quota throughout the Nation but till now they are not included in the list in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. They said that these communities are backward and underprivileged educationally, economically, politically and socially. He said that the community members are hardworking and dedicated members of the society which have always stood for the Nation through thick and thin. They said that these communities are hardcore Nationalist who have always resisted the antinational forces and contributed to maintain the communal harmony in the society.
They added that providing certain reservations to these communities will not only help in the upliftment of the dedicated members of these communities but also will contribute majorly in the development of the Nation especially in the border and remote areas with difficult terrain.
Ravinder Raina gave a patient hearing to the deputation and said that the Nation is proud of these communities and the BJP has always stood for the rights of the underprivileged. He said that the issues of these communities will be highlighted by the BJP at the right forum for their cause and assured them that the whole BJP family stands with them.
