Anantnag, February 17: The Rent Assessment Committee meeting was held today at DC Office Anantnag under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla.
A total of 14 cases were placed before the committee out of which five cases pertained to Health Department and remaining cases pertained to Agriculture, Police, Handloom, Handicraft, Education and Jal Shakti department.
The DC on the occasion held a detailed discussion with concerned departments that are functioning from rented accommodations in the district and with the owners of these buildings.
All the cases were deliberated upon and after thorough discussion, all cases were approved.
The DC issued directions that rent accommodations for health and educational cases should be in the ground floor to ensure easy access to persons with special abilities.
The meeting was attended by SE R&B, ADC, Ex En R&B and CMO among others.
