Road Safety Awareness Drive Organised By Army In Poonch

Poonch Feb 16 :- With Millions of lives endangered World wide, road traffic accidents (RTA) rank alarmingly high in recent trends of present social issues. With the substantial increase in the number of vehicles plying on the road and bad road conditions in sub-urban areas and village areas like Seklu, Mandi and Shahpur, it has led to the rise in the number of RTA cases with major loss of life and property. Lack of traffic discipline and safety awareness further increase the risk of incidents. Recognising the need for spreading awareness amongst the youth, Indian  Army in co-ordination with Traffic Police, Poonch Distt organised a Road Safety Campaign in Seklu. Spreading the awareness on traffic rules and safety measures, followed by an interactive session for understanding road signs and traffic regulations.
