ADDC Budgam reviews developmental progress of Surasyar, Pakherpora as Aspirational Blocks

Budgam, February 08: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Akramullah Tak today chaired a meeting to review the progress of development of Surasyar and Pakherpora as aspirational blocks in the district.

The ADDC called for speedy infrastructural development to ensure all required facilities are created at these blocks.

He emphasized on speedy improvement and completion of development works in both blocks and instructed concerned to conduct fresh survey of implementation of modalities and submit department wise reports of progress of works.

The meeting was informed that work on panchayat playfields is completed on time and activities of youth clubs and sports activities are conducted regularly in these blocks.

The ADDC also reviewed upgradation of health and education related facilities and progress in the activities conducted for plantation, celebration, sanitation and cleanliness and improvement in school enrolment ratio.

He stressed on holding panchayat meetings for awareness and review of developmental activities. The meeting also discussed implementation of old age pension, PMAY and MGNREGA Man days work creation.

Stressing on covering all pending beneficiaries, ADDC emphasised on adoption of modern agriculture practices for progressive farming in these blocks.

The meeting among others was attended by JD Planning, P.O ICDS, CEO, CMO, DFO, CAO, DSWO, BMOs, and other concerned officers.
