Jammu, February 07: Director Agriculture Production & Farmers’ Welfare Jammu K. K. Sharma on Monday chaired a meeting of the officers to review the progress under CAPEX 2021-22.

The physical and financial achievements/ expenditure under various centrally sponsored schemes and REVEX/CAPEX Budget 2021-22 were discussed threadbare in the meeting.

The Director stressed to expedite utilization of funds under CAPEX Budget 2021-22 to ensure maximum achievement at the earliest. He asked officers for strict adherence to quality parameters and Codal formalities while executing the infrastructure development works as per DPRs.

Low expenditure on part of some districts was viewed seriously by the chair. He further impressed upon the officers to identify and resolve the bottlenecks for successful implementation of farmer welfare schemes.

The Director took latest update under PM KISAN, PMKMDY, e-Shram and directed for 100% target achievement of adhar correction. Stress was given on QR code installation including UPI & IP address by the fertilizer dealers.  Director also stressed on promotion of right and farmer friendly extension activity in the field by keeping check on wrong technology transfer. Full Utility of the machinery under Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) should be ensured, he said.

He asked for need based conductance of e-plant clinics in the districts for facilitation of the farmers. Feed back in respect of Mushroom, Apiculture, Vegetable Clusters and Departmental Farms was also reviewed in the meeting.

Director Agriculture informed the house that in accordance with latest circular by the UT government, the rider of 30% expenditure of funds does not pertains to centrally sponsored schemes.

The meeting was attended among others by Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), A. S. Reen Joint Director Agriculture (Extension),  Subash Chander Sharma, Joint Director (Farms), Rajinder Sharma, Joint Director (Apiculture & Mushroom), Iqbal Singh,Plant Protection officer,   Deputy Director Agriculture (Trainings), Agriculture Chemist,   Agriculture Research Engineer and Sectoral Heads of different Schemes of Agriculture Department.  Chief Agriculture Officers of all districts of Jammu Division were also present in the meeting.
