Leh, Feb 03: A delegation led by Sarpanch, Halqa Panchayat, Abran, Zanskar, Skalzang Lamo today called upon the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas.
The three-member delegation comprising Sarpanch Lamo, Panch Phunchok Stobgial and member Stanzin Nurboo briefed LG Mathur about various issues about the village. They requested LG Mathur for a survey of Akshow village and a detailed project report (DPR) of the 40-km road from Akshow village in Zanskar till Sumtsam village in Kishtwar due to the importance of the road for both people of Zanskar and Kishtwar.
The delegation from Arban also requested LG Mathur for road connectivity from Akshow Drog to Tankar-Toktha and the construction of a motorable bridge to Bakarsay village from Skagam.
The delegation requested LG Mathur for the construction of permanent sheds for nomads as the nomads are unable to construct permanent houses due to constant movement with their livestock.
Lastly, the delegation requested LG Mathur to provide relief to livestock in the form of fodder due to snowfall in the winter.
