National Voters Day: 6457 students of 1222 Udhampur schools pledged to uphold democratic Values

Udhampur, January 27: Pledge taking ceremony was organized in the schools and Education Department offices of District Udhampur to celebrate the National Voters Day.

The main event was held at Chief Education Office, Udhampur, where a pledge taking ceremony was organised to commemorate the “National Voters Day” under the guidance of CEO, Udhampur Arvin Kumar Koul along with all staff members to “Make Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative”.

Students and Staff members of the schools across the district also took pledge administered by their respective HOIs.

6457 students of 1222 schools participated in the program to make it successful.

Besides, a series of events including debate, Rangoli making, poster making, essay and slogan writing competitions etc were organized by the schools via online mode for spreading awareness among youth, employees and their family members and reminding them to register the newly eligible youth(18+) in the electoral roll.
