Poonch, December 30:- District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for Gurpurab (Prakash Diwas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) .
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Rohit Baskotra; ADC Poonch, Dr. Bashrat Hussain; CMO Poonch, Dr G.A Malik, Executive Engineers of different departments, CEO Municipality, AD Food.
The civil society members included religious heads including President DGPC Poonch, Narinder Singh; President SDS, Satish Sasan; Khatib Imam Mufti, Farooq Ahmed Misbai; Advocate, Mohammad Zaman, Taj Mir and others.
In the meeting, religious heads and prominent citizens raised various issues related to the arrangement of Gurpurab. They appealed to the administration to ensure drinking water, power supply, sanitation, security arrangement etc. during the celebration.
The DDC directed the Executive Engineers from Jal Shakti and Power Development Departments for ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply to all Gurudwaras on the Parkash Diwas day.
The DDC also directed the Municipal authorities to maintain cleanliness around the main Gurdwaras. He also directed them to carry out the necessary repairs of the street lights.
The DDC urged the religious organizations to cooperate with District Administration and follow all necessary SOPs and guidelines for COVID-19 control.
