Ramban, December 29: District Industries Centre (DIC), Ramban Wednesday organized an awareness camp at Jhatgali, Ramban to sensitize the unemployed youth about the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme and other schemes in industrial & service sectors.
General Manager DIC Ramban, VishwaJeet, highlighted various schemes being implemented by the UT as well Central Government to make the youth job creators instead of job seekers.
GM DIC, who also holds the charge of AD Handicrafts and Handloom Ramban visited Handicraft carpet weaving Centre at Jhatgali and made the public aware about various schemes being implemented by the department.
The GM asked the participants to register with the DIC to take benefits / subsidies under various youth and beneficiary oriented schemes. He also highlighted various schemes besides encouraging them to start their small ventures under the PMEGP scheme in manufacturing and service sectors.
The participants eagerly heard and thanked GM, DIC, Ramban and other staff members for guiding them and making them aware about various schemes.
