Kishtwar, December 28: A Volleyball tournament was organized by Youth Services Sports Kishtwar here at block Mughal Maidan and Drabshalla under the aegis of YSS-Cup 2021.
Incharge ZPEOs Sanjay Sharma and Kalash Kumar supervised the tournament.
Players from different Panchayats present at HSS Mughal Maidan, welcomed the chief guest Tariq Hussain, Sarpanch Mughal Maidhan, and Indeer Jeet, Naib Sarpanch Drabshala as they declared the tournament open. The inaugural match was played between pyt. Duga and pyt. Bugrana.
Matches were played as per the fixture and Youth displayed tremendous sports skills despite being cold weather.
Earlier, before the onset of tournament, the DYSSO Kharati Lal Sharma, through virtual meeting directed all In Charge ZPEOs and officials to make all facilities available before game starts because there is possibility of cold weather injuries including repetitive injuries of the shoulders, knees finger, dislocations & torn tendons.
The DYSSO advised to follow proper warm up techniques before start of the match.
Others present were Ramesh Kumar, Sanjay sen, Sharyar wani and Rayees Ahmed.
