Poonch, December 22: Zonal Education Office Mandi today launched a series of activities to improve the enrollment in government schools, cut down the dropout rate and bring never enrolled students to age appropriate classes in the schools.
This initiative has been taken to mark the start of Good Governance Week (GGW) campaign in Zone Mandi. In this connection a meeting of Masters and teachers from 11 Guidance Centres of zone was convened in the Office chamber of Zonal Education Officer Mandi and was presided by Anwar Khan Principal Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian.
The officials were asked to conduct door to door campaigns in concerned clusters to educate the public about the facilities like free uniforms, mid day meal under Pradhan Mantri Poshan scheme, free text books and various scholarships available in Government schools.
Those who attended the meeting included Imtiaz Ahmed, Saleem Bhatt, Mohammad Younis, Khalid Hussain, Mohd Hayat Sheikh and Imran Khan.
