Reasi Dec 18 :- After achieving a milestone of arresting 100 plus absconding criminals in seven months F’RARI Ki GIRAFTARI, a drive against underground criminals & absconders continue in district Reasi. In another round of chase, raids and searches 19 more absconding criminals evading arrests since years traced and arrested by teams of district police Reasi.
With these arrests 16 General Warrants of Arrests which were issued by Hon’ble Courts from time to time are executed.
Absconding Criminal Jammat Khan resident of Kanjli Tehsil Reasi absconding in case FIR No.107/2001 U/S 354 RPC of Police Station Katra is arrested by team of Reasi Police after 20 years of commission of crime in a case proven against him during the investigation. A general warrant of arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 25.08.2003.
Absconder Manzoor Ahmed resident of Kot Chadwal Tehsil Kotrenka Rajouri evaded trial proceedings of a proven case FIR no. 48/1997 U/S 323, 324, 147 RPC of Police Station Mahore is arrested by team of Reasi Police from Kotranka Rajouri after 24 years of commission of crime.
A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore on 02.06.1999.
Absconding Criminal Abid Husain resident of Thanole Tehsil Thakrakote Reasi absconding in case FIR no.78/2014 U/S 447, 336, 379, 147, 34, 201 RPC of Police Station Arnas got arrested by team of Reasi Police after developing a specific information. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore on 25.09.2021.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding criminal Gulzar Ahmed S/O Beeniya Meen R/O Kot Chadwal Tehsil Kotranka Rajouri absconding in case FIR no 48/1997 U/S 323, 324, 147 RPC Police Station Mahore after 24 years of commission of crime. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. A General Warrant of Arrest was issused against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore on 02:06:1999.
Absconding Criminal Narinder Singh resident of Garnai Lota Udhampur wanted in case FIR No.227/2007 U/S 48(a) Excise Act of Police Station Katra arrested by team of Reasi Police after 14 years of commission of crime. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and evaded arrests for the last 8 years. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 12.09.2013
Team of Reasi Police arrested wanted Criminal Bablu resident of Bhagta Katra wanted in case FIR No 07/2016 U/S 48(a) Excise Act of Police station Katra. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 09.06.2018
Absconder Ashwani Kumar resident of Sarna Nomai Katra wanted in case FIR No 65/2015 U/S 341, 323, 34 RPC of Police Station Katra is arrested by team of Reasi Police after 6 years of commission of crime. Against him General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Hon’ble court of JMIC Katra on 27.09.2018
Krishan Singh resident of Lander Panchari Udhampur is arrested from Panchari Udhampur by team of Reasi Police after 12 years of commission of crime. Absconding in case FIR no. 46/2009 U/S 48(a) Excise Act of Police station Katra accused evaded trial proceedings of the proven case to avoid conviction. Against him a General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Hon’ble court of JMIC Katra on 07:11:2009.
Absconder Kuldeep Singh S/O Ishwar Dass R/O Jajjhar Kotli Jammu absconding in a theft case FIR no. 81/2006 U/S 379 Rpc of police station Katra got arrested by team of Reasi Police after developing a specific information. To avoid conviction in a proved case accused jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Reasi on 04:02:2010.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding criminal Om Parkash resident of Rah Salyote Sunderbani from district Poonch after 18 years of commission of crime, absconding in case FIR no 143/ 1998 U/S 48(a) Excise Act Police Station Katra. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 08.07.2003.

Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding criminal Mohd. Ashraf resident of Mogla Tehsil kalakote in case FIR No.88/2013 U/S 279, 337, 338, 304A RPC Police Station Katra. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested.
A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 05.09.2018. On developing specific information accused arrested from Kalakote Rajouri.
Absconder Romesh Lal resident of Larr Ramnagar Udhampur absconding in case FIR No 140/15 U/S 420, 471, 201 RPC Police Station Katra is arrested by Reasi Police after developing a specific information after 6 years of commission of crime. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 07.05.2018.
After developing specific information Absconding Criminal Mohd.Tariq resident of Budhal Rajouri absconding in case FIR No 54/2014 U/S 279, 337, 188 ROC 3 PCA Act Police Station Arnas got arrested by team of Reasi Police from Bhudal Rajouri. A general warrant of arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore on 01.09.2015.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding criminal Rajinder Singh resident of Laman Bhajwal Tehsil Sundarbani, district Rajouri absconding in case FIR No 35/1999 U/S 32 T.T. Act Police Station Katra. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. A General Warrant of Arrest was issused against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Reasi on 29.03.2000.
Absconder Beer Singh resident of Parthal Katra District Reasi absconding in case FIR No 53/2016 US 48(a) Excise Act Police Station
Katra got arrested by team of Reasi Police after developing a specific information. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 19.08.2019.
Javed Ahmed resident of Jamaslan Mahore absconding in case FIR no 160/2016 U/S 380, 403, 201 RPC of police station Katra arrested by Reasi Police from Baribrahmna Samba. Against him a General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Hon’ble court of JMIC Katra.
“F’RARI KI GRIFTARI” a national level recognized among best practices of police initiative by Reasi district for arresting the criminals who are evading arrests since years. Under this drive Reasi Police remained successful in nabbing hardcore, notorious & habitual criminals who were evading the due process of law for years and against whom General Warrants of Arrest were issued by Hon’ble Courts were pending execution. Till now around 121 absconding criminals arrested under this drive and a number of other surrendered before courts due to pressure built by teams of Reasi Police.
Mr Shailender Singh SSP Reasi conveyed that arrests of these criminals is important police work to maintain peace and tranquility in the area and Police will leave no stone unturned to arrest and produce them in concerned trial courts of law.
