Kulgam, December 15: In order to take first hand appraisal of issues grievances of people for immediate redressal
The Deputy Commissioner, (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today presided over a grievance redressal camp which was held here at Frisal.
During the grievance redressal camp locals and the PRI members called upon the DC and raised various demands and issues for disposal.
Several delegations from Chingom, Frisal, Nowpora, Kharpora, Shirpora, Kaladrang, Badroo and other areas attended this grievance redressal camp and put forth their issues and grievances for timely redressal.
During this grievance redressal camp People demanded an ATM for Frisal, a delegation from Frisal demanded augmentation of Staff at the health center in Frisal. Delegations from Frisal and other areas also demanded power receiving station for Frisal area.
People also demanded to tap and utilize Sheikpal spring as a source for drinking water supply in the area. A delegation also demanded for fencing of the Garbage dumping site.
People also demanded desilting of Lakut Kul and and construction of flood protection bunds at Badh Kul.
A delegation from the area demanded that all street lights be functional. People from Chinigam raised a demand for a Dispensary at Chingom.
A Delegation from Shirporo chanpora raised the demand to include village in Backward area category.
People also put forth demand to start direct transport service from Kulgam to Frisal.
People also raised several other issues and demands of their areas for early redressal. Officers present on the spot also responded to various queries and issues raised by the people and various other issues were also redressed on the spot.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned to made all street lights functional within days. Several other issues were also redressed by the Deputy Commissioner on the spot.
ADC, ACR, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers, CEO, CMO, BDO, Tehsildar and other officers were also present in this grievance redressal camp.
Meanwhile mega grievance redressal camps were held at D.H.Pora and Devsar blocks where officers listened to issues and grievances of people for immediate redressal.
