Kupwara, December 13: A meeting of District Level Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) of district Kupwara was conducted today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner urged upon the bankers to facilitate the poor and unemployed youth of the district to get timely advances under various government sponsored schemes.
Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers for mass awareness of different welfare schemes among the unemployed youth and poor sections of the district. He stressed upon both officers of line departments and bankers to play their vital role in employment generation by reaching out the benefits of Government schemes to the beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the bankers and the sponsoring agencies to work with coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of development & progress.
Highlighting the overall performance for 2nd quarter under Annual District Credit Plan (ACP), Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Shamim Ahmad Haji informed the house that under ACP 2021-22 for the district stood at Rs. 709.50 Crores as on 30-09-2021 which constitutes 45% against target of Rs.1582.16 Crores. The achievements under priority sector advances were to the tune of Rs.382.34 Crores against target of Rs.1376.63 for 2nd quarter 2021-22 which constitutes 28% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of Rs.327.16 Crores against target of Rs. 205 Crores which constitutes 159%.
The District has already sanctioned 2224 cases under various govt sponsored schemes & disbursed 43.13Crore. Under the new KCC scheme for Animal husbandry, Sheep & Fisheries, the banks have sanctioned 11115 cases & have disbursed Rs 62.23 Crores to the beneficiaries.
On the occasion, the Potential Linked Plan of NABARD for 2022-23 was released in the meeting.
A special DCC for revising the targets of Priority sector lending was also held and Chairman directed all the banks and Line departments to provide the report within a 2 days period so that it can be decided whether the target remains the same or changes.
Officers from line departments, LDM, besides, District Managers of various banks attended the meeting.
