Pulwama, December 13:- District Development Council Chairperson Pulwama, Syed Bari Andrabi today chaired a meeting of PRIs district administrative complex to chalk out for implementation of district development plan.
DDC Members, Additional District Development Commissioner, Pulwama Dr Sheikh Ab Aziz, BDC chairpersons and other concerned functionaries attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed in threadbare the development scenario of the district.
The chairperson stressed for proper maintenance of coordination between officers and the Councilors so that the better results could be yielded on ground with respect to developmental works and infrastructure creation.
He also said that for the first time, proportionate funding to all three tiers of PRIs is being ensured to cater to the development aspirations of the people through DDCs, BDCs and Panchayats.
On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held wherein the chairperson stressed for ensuring public participation while formulating development plans at grass root levels. He emphasized upon the PRIs to play a proactive role so that all the necessities are completed well within the stipulated time. Moreover, He directed to hold gram sabhas at ground level adding that all the stakeholders should be taken on board in the formulation of development plans.
Meanwhile, the chairperson took a brief appraisal of the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes during which he exhorted to ensure that these schemes are implemented effectively at the ground level.
Earlier the ADDC Pulwama, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the council gave a detailed presentation where he highlighted various aspects associated with the district plan.
