40000 workers registered under e-Shram Scheme in Ramban

Ramban, December 10: Around 40 thousand unorganises sector workers have been registered on e-Shram portal in the Ramban District.

According to Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Angrej Singh the registered workers include Construction workers, small Shopkeepers, Drivers, Conductors, MG-NREGA Job card holders, ASHA, Anganwari and Agriculture workers, street vendors besides other eligible persons of district Ramban.

The ALC informed that  after registration the workers get one year free Rs 2 Lakh accidental death insurance cover besides benefit of Rs 1 Lakh in case of partial disability.

The ALC added that the registered workers would be benefited by the government during the pandemic, besides extending benefits of welfare & social security schemes to them on the basis of e- Shram database.

He further said that for registration the workers can visit the nearest CSC or Khidmat centre with required documents. “For any clarification and guidance, they can also visit the Block Development Officer or Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban office” he said.
