Srinagar, Dec 10 : The government has repatriated 63 employees of the School Education Department from the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh to Jammu and Kashmir.
Besides, the General Administration Department (GAD) in an order issued on Thursday has said that it has replaced the repatriated officers after nearly four years posted in the union territory of Ladakh.
Notably, more than 100 employees of various departments majority of which were the School Education Department employees posted in Ladakh UT on a deputation basis for a period of two years.
The employees since then after the completion of their deputation, multiple times, raised the demand for reparation saying that they have been facing difficulties in the region.
On Thursday, the government of Jammu and Kashmir issued an order of reparation of 63 employees of the School Education Department and also named their replacement from the region for Ladakh UT.
According to an order, a copy of which lies with news agency reads that officers currently on deputation to union territory of ladakh are hereby repatriated to union territory of Jammu and Kashmir with the directions to report to School Education Department J&K for further posting after proper relieving by a competent authority in union territory of ladadkh.
The government named their replacement as well from Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh UT on deputation.
Meanwhile the order also reads that consequent upon the above officers of School Education Department are hereby deputed to Union territory of ladakh from their present places. “These officers shall report to General Administration Department union territory of ladakh for further posting and shall be entitled for incentives which may be made available to such employees”, reads the order.
The order further said that Irfan Ul Islam lecturer, Functional English presently posted at GHSS Marhama Anantnag appointed to union territory of ladakh vide government order No1212-JK(GAD) of 2021 dated 15.11.2021 is hereby relieved with immediate effect with the directions to report in the General Adminstration Department of Union territory of ladakh.
The order further more reads that the officers mentioned above who have been deputed to union territory of ladakh shall be deemed to have even relieved from their places of posting.
The order was issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary to Government on the directions of the lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Noteworthy, all the officers repatriated to Jammu and Kashmir and the newly posted officers to Ladakh UT are lecturers including the seniors—(KNO)
