Srinagar Admin holds Awareness camps on ‘AZAN’ (LRIS) at Tehsil Office Khanyar, Nowgam Nayabat

Srinagar, December 09: Continuing its campaign to aware and sensitize the people about the recently launched Land Record Information System(LRIS), ‘Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani’ (AZAN), the District Administration Srinagar today organised a series of Sensitization cum Awareness camps at different areas of the district for the mass awareness of the people.

The Sensitization cum Awareness camps were organized at Tehsil Office Khanyar, and Nowgam Nayabat in Chanpora Tehsil on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad.

During the Camps, people of Khanyar and Chanpora Tehsils, who participated in the programmes were sensitized about the benefits and use of Land Records Information System (LRIS), ‘Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani’, through live demonstrations.

The experts also demonstrated how Public users can search and view copies of Scanned data online on CIS Portal-http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/  which includes Jamabandis, Girdawaris, Masavis, Mutations etc.

Speaking with regard to organizing such Sensitization cum Awareness camps, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Awareness campaign has been launched throughout district to sensitize the people of Srinagar District about the LRIS which provide easy access to the Revenue Records and facilitate online availability of the Land Records including Jamabandis, Girdawaris, Masavis, Mutations.

He asked the people to be well informed about their rights and the initiatives taken by the Government so that the benefits of these programmes reaches at grass root level.
