Rajouri, December 09: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on Mission Youth today approved 800 project proposals under women oriented Tejaswani scheme here at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Rajesh Kumar Shavan.
Tejaswini is a customised livelihood generation scheme for young women of J&K.
The Officer on Special Duty Mission Youth Dr Abdul Khabir informed the chair that district Rajouri has sanctioned a maximum number of cases among the UT of Jammu and Kashmir district under this scheme.
After approval, the individual cases shall be referred to JKEDI for the preparation of a Detailed Project Report under each case. Thereafter training shall be imparted to the beneficiaries at the district level before formal disbursement.
The broad aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions.
Any female domicile of J&K in the age group of 18 to 35 years with matriculation as qualification is eligible to avail of financial assistance under the scheme.
The activities covered under this scheme include canteen and restaurant, creche, cyber cafe, beauty parlour, boutique/tailoring, fitness centre, Yoga centre or any other profitable activity of similar nature.
The eligible potential female entrepreneur shall be facilitated to avail financial assistance under Mudra loan to the extent of 5:00 lac. The scheme partner shall extend the loan facility to the extent of 100% of the project cost under the scheme.
Mission Youth shall provide an amount of Rs. 50,000 or 10% of the project cost as a special incentive (subsidy) towards the loan account of the beneficiary under the scheme.
