Rajouri, Dec 8 :- Department of Civil Engineering has lifted the Volleyball trophy of the Interdepartmental Volleyball Championship being organised by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri.
The Inter-Departmental Volleyball Championship was thrown open by Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice-Chancellor, BGSBU on December 6 as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
In the final Match, the Department of Civil Engineering thrashed the Department of Arabic by (3-1) sets.
Prof. Akbar Masood Vice-Chancellor of the University was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Prof. Akbar interacted with the players and appreciated the efforts of the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports for organising the sports event.
“We must strive hard to build and create athletes in our country who will make our nation proud by taking participation in the national and international sports competitions,” said Prof. Akbar Masood.
“The tournament was organised as a part of nationwide Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations,” said the organisers.
Those who were present on the occasion included Prof. Iqbal Parwez Dean Academic Affairs; Prof. GM Malik, Dean of Education; Prof. Asif Hussain, Dean School of Engineering and Technology; Mohammed Rashid Chowdhury, OSD Sports; Suneet Gupta, Joint Registrar; Dr. Danish Iqbal Media Advisor; Heads of various departments, Deputy Director sports Mohammad Din and other officials of BGSBU.
