Srinagar December 03:- With the aim to cover all left out population of Srinagar District under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-SEHAT Scheme (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT), the District Administration Srinagar on Friday launched a month long enrolment campaign across the City.
The campaign has been launched under the Har Ghar Dastak campaign on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad to provide SEHAT(Golden Cards) to the left out population.
On the first day of the campaign, the registration camps were held at different Tehsils of the District including Tehsil Office, Khonmoh, Government Higher Secondary School Channapora, Health Centre, Hazratbal, Kashmir University campus, Government Boys Higher Secondary (Dhar School) Sekidafar Safa Kadal, Indoor Stadium, Polo-view and Tehsil Office HMT to accelerate the pace of ongoing registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat – (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT).
Speaking in this regard, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar said that the purpose of the initiative is to speed up the registration for SEHAT scheme and to mobilise the left out population of the District so that they are entitled to the benefits of Golden Card.
He said establishing Mega Awareness cum Registration Camps have been established in all 7 Tehsils of Srinagar District and shall continue for the month of December.
The DC directed all Tehsildars, BDOs and ZMOs and other concerned to ensure mobilization of left-out population in these camps, while District Coordinator CSC was asked to ensure presence of adequate manpower(VLEs) at the sites to enrol maximum beneficiaries in the district. He also the Deputy Commissioner asked the VLEs to work with added zeal and dedication to achieve the set target.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the people of Srinagar District to visit nearby PMJAY-SEHAT Enrolment camp and get a Golden card to avail the health entitlements.
