Budgam, December 02: A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for implementation of various Mission Youth initiatives was held here today under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza.
The meeting reviewed implementation of various livelihood and employment generating initiatives of Mission Youth and also took a detailed review of various cases for their approval during the current financial year.
During the meeting, the Officer on Special Duty for Mission Youth and incharge for District Budgam, Dr. Murtaza Rashid gave a detailed powerpoint presentation of various livelihood, skill, and other youth oriented initiatives of Mission Youth. He apprised the DLIC about eligibility criteria, selection process, funding pattern etc under each scheme.
He informed that Mission Youth covers a wide range of activities including promotion of self-employment through schemes like Tejaswini, MUMKIN, Rise Together, SAHAYTA, Spurring Entrepreneurship, development of Tourist Village network, Skill Development, AVSAR, PAARVAZ, Baharat Darshan, Making of Paradise, Universities and technical collaboration initiatives, JK Super-75 boys and girls, Young Innovators Programs for holistic and pragmatic youth engagement and empowerment on sustainable lines.
The DDC on the occasion exhorted upon all concerned line departments to work in coordination and cooperation to achieve all aims and objectives enshrined under Mission Youth programme.
The meeting among others was also attended by, ADC, SDMs, GM DIC, CPO, DPO, CMO, AD Employment, LDM Budgam and other concerned officers.
