Anantnag, November 29: In continuation with its drive to achieve excellence in the field of sports and other co-curricular activities, IRP 11th Bn Anantnag today organised Inter Company Volleyball tournament, here.
The Commandant of the Battalion, SSP Sandeep Mehta declared the event open in an impressive ceremony in the lawns of DPL Anantnag.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehta stressed upon personnel to maintain their physical standards and participate in the tournament with full zeal.
Stressing on the mantra that “Healthy mind stays in a Healthy body” he emphasised the role of health in the overall personality of a person particularly of a Jawan.
In a week long tournament, a total of 8 teams are participating out of which the best talent will be chosen for the Inter Zonal and State level sports events.
Mubashar Bukhari, DyCO, Abdul Aziz Ganai DySP DAR Anantnag, Company Commanders and other officers of the Bn and district Anantnag were present on the occasion.
