Srinagar, November 26: Constitution Day was today celebrated with great enthusiasm at both the Jammu and Srinagar offices of Registrar of Companies for UTs of J&K and Ladakh & Official Liquidator, attached to the High Court.
Sudhir Phaye, ROC J&K & Ladakh took an oath along with the staff at Jammu office and read out the preamble. An essay competition was held at the office and awards were given to the winners; Raj Kumar Koul bagged the first prize for excellent essay.
At Srinagar office, AROC Haamid Bukhari along with the staff members also took an oath and read out the preamble to the constitution.
Bukhari highlighted the importance of the Constitution as a visionary document and how following the ideals mentioned in the preamble holds a key to a successful public life.
A variety of events took place including the Quiz Competition among the office staff and legal interns appointed in the office.
The prizes were distributed among the winners. Deeba Ashraf bagged the 1st prize followed by Numan Zargar and Iqra Mir. The third prize among the legal interns was shared by Fabiha Wani and Arbeena Amin.
Both the officers appreciated the knowledge of the constitution among the staff at both the offices.
