Anantnag, november 24: The Department of Revenue under the ambit of Land Records Information System (LRIS), a unique initiative of J&K government, today held a sensitization programme at Kullar Higher Secondary School of block Pahalgam.
Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Director Survey and Land Records appealed to people to avail the facility. He said that the step is a major initiative towards transparency and accountability.
The Regional Director informed the gathering that more than 50 lakh Revenue records pertaining to South Kashmir are available on the portal and new records are being uploaded.
During the programme, the resource persons discussed various schemes like Har Gawoon Swatch Gawoon, Har Ghar Nal Say Jal, Har Gawoon Haryali, Yogyata Say Rozgar Mahotsav, FRA etc. Live demonstration with regard to Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani on the landrecords.jk.gov.in portal was carried out.
Sarpanches, Panches, social activists and representatives of local Auqaf of the area raised their issues and queries with regard to schemes which were addressed by the concerned officers on spot.
SDM Pahalgam, Tehsildar Pahalgam also informed the gathering about the LRIS and other schemes that are in vogue.
