Srinagar, november 23: The National Education Policy 2020 was framed with a vision to modernise and revamp education system besides address challenges of conventional education system, said Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar.
The AC was speaking in a valedictory function of two days National Conference on NEP-2020 and Teacher Education at Govt College of Education (IASE), Srinagar.
Sarwar appreciated the college administration for organising a conference to provide a platform to experts who presented their valuable suggestions, ideas and papers for revamping the education system.
Principal Govt College of Education, Dr Ruhi Kant while welcoming the Chief Guest Qazi Sarwar and other participants highlighted the achievements of the college, future plans and targets, activities and efforts to implement NEP-2020 in colleges and Universities.
Meanwhile, Additional Commissioner, Kashmir in presence of Principal of the College and Nodal Principal Kashmir, Prof Khursheed Ahmed Khan presented certificates to the participants who had presented their research papers during the two day National Conference.
Experts from NCERT, Jamia Millia, professors and students took part in a two days programme on NEP-2020 & Teacher Education.
