31EARTH NEWS SERVICE  Srinagar, Dec 15 |15: Army on Tuesday flagged-off a group of thirty (32) students and nine (09) teachers on a ‘Capacity Building Program’. “A group of 32 students and 09 teachers of Army Goodwill School Bandipora and Army Goodwill School Sopore left for Udaipur today on a Capacity Building Tour. The students will be hosted at Udaipur by Maharana Mewar Public School (MMPS),” Srinagar based defence spokesperson said this evening. “The aim of the programme is to broaden the horizon of students and teachers of Kashmir by facilitating positive interaction with the educational fraternity outside Kashmir and to enhance the feeling of national integration.” The army spokesperson informed that the ‘Capacity Building Program’ will continue till 26 Dec 2015. “During the program, the students and teachers will be given exposure to latest and modern methods of learning and teaching and will stay with students of MMPS and attend all school curriculum and functions together. They will also be visiting the Railway Training Institute and will also attend Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme being conducted by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.” The spokesperson further added, “a capacity building workshop is also being organised for teachers at the State Council for Educational Research and Training. Students will also visit places of historical and educational importance in Udaipur.” The “Students and Teachers Capacity Building Tour” was, the spokesperson said, flagged-off by “Watlab Army Garrison Commander” at Sopore in presence of students, parents, officials from Army and district administration. “Prior to the flagging off, salient aspects of the programme were explained to the audience. Thereafter, the participants shared their thoughts about the programme,” the spokesperson said, “it is expected that the students of Army Goodwill School Bandipora and Army Goodwill School Sopore will return back with wealth of experience and knowledge gained during their stay in Udaipur.”
