JKBOSE declares result of Essay Writing competition on “Teacher Taught Relations amidst Covid-19 Challenges”

Jammu, November 20: The result of Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Teachers Taught Relations Amidst Covid-19 Challenges” was declared by JKBOSE for which the entries were invited from the currently enrolled students of 11th and 12th Class in the schools affiliated with JKBOSE in English, Hindi, Urdu, Dogri and Kashmiri language categories.

In the English language category first prize has been shared by Girija Gupta of Govt. GHSS Sunderbani and Shivangi Sharma of Dewan Devi Public Hr. Secondary School, Jammu; second prize has been shared by Palak of Govt. HSS Jakhbar, Kathua, Baljeet Kour Govt. Girls HSS Rehari, Jammu and Dheeraj Sharma of Co-operative  Public Hr. Secondary School Deeli, Jammu; the third prize in this category has been jointly bagged by Iram Gafoor of Himalayan Education Mission School Rajouri, Prince Kumar of GHSS, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Manish Sayal of Dewan Devi Public Hr. Secondary School, Jammu.

In the Hindi language category, Komal of R.S.J.N Sr. Secondary School Kathua secured the first prize whereas Anjali of the same school shared second prize with Vaishali Sharma of Lovely HSS Dansal, Jammu. Arushi Thakur of Dewan Devi Public Hr. Secondary School, Jammu got the third prize in this category.

(The winners will be awarded Cash Prizes viz. 1st prize Rs. 2000 , 2nd prize Rs. 1000 and 3rd prize of Rs. 500) No entries were received in Dogri and Kashmiri Languages while only one candidate namely Fasiha Rashid of Al-Maarif Public School Bathindi sent entry in Urdu language who has been given a participation certificate.

In English category, the Jury comprised  Manmeet Bali, Kuldeep Singh and Ram Krishan Dhar; in Hindi category the Jury consisted of K.K Sharma, Raj Gopal and Reeta Charak whereas the script in Urdu language was assessed by Dr. Hari Dass.

Prof. Veena Pandita, Chairperson, JKBOSE while congratulating the winners appreciated the participation of students in this literary activity. “Covid-19 pandemic has tremendously impacted all aspects of our life and teacher-taught relation is no exception. Virtual class room teaching has made both the students & teachers adept to the growing needs of continuing teaching learning process and a stronger bond has emerged between them” she said.

Manisha Sareen, Secretary, JKBOSE expressed her satisfaction over the participation and performance of the students and said that such activities give a fodder for thought and young minds should be engaged in analysing the changing perspective of human society. “Teachers and students share a most valuable relationship which has sustained rather more strongly even in Covid-19 times,” she added.

78 students participated in the English language category whereas 6 students participated in the Hindi language category.

This event was organised by the committee comprising of Dr. Yasir Hamid Sirwal, Assistant Director, Joginder Singh, Assistant Secretary, Secrecy, JD, JKBOSE, Ranjeet Singh Manhas, Suresh Kumar Gouria, Academic Officers, JKBOSE and under the supervision of Dr. Sudhir Singh, Joint Secretary, Secrecy, JKBOSE of Jammu Division.
