Bandipora, November 18: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Bandipora, Abdul Gani Bhat on Thursday chaired the meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of Bandipora district to review the functioning of healthcare institutions.
The meeting was apprised regarding the physical and financial achievements of the institution by the concerned Medical officers. They also projected the requirements of emergency medicines, surgical equipment, lab reagents and articles besides other infrastructural needs and various other issues.
The DDC Chairman took a detailed review of the achievements of these institutions and the status of development works being executed to improve facilities.
He said that it is imperative to provide health services in case of emergencies through these establishments so that referral cases to other health institutions are minimal and stressed upon the concerned to ensure proper medicare to the patients besides better sanitation and upkeep.
Bhat also directed for effective implementation of the various state and centrally sponsored schemes with better awareness dissemination.
Responding to the issues projected by the concerned officers, the DDC Chairman assured that requisite steps will be taken to provide better medicare to the patients in these institutions.
Chairman Municipal Council Bandipora Khursheed Ahmad, Medical Superintendent Dr Mushtaq, District Information Officer Jahangeer Akhoon, Executive Engineer PHE and other senior officers of the district were present on the occasion.
