FOB, DIPR Centre Rajouri hold awareness activities on Covid Vaccination, Covid Appropriate Behaviour

Rajouri, November 18: Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Rajouri in coordination with Department of Information and Public Relations  Centre, Rajouri, Sub-Divisional  Administration and Government Girls Hr. Sec. School, Sunderbani Thursday organised awareness activities on Covid Vaccination and Covid Appropriate Behaviour in Sunderbani.  The events were organised under the chairmanship of R. C. Sharma, Principal of the host Institute and Vinod Kumar Behnal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunderbani was the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner,   said that the administration is on its toes to contain the pandemic.  He also shared crucial information related to the pandemic including details of the cases in Sunderbani and provision of testing facilities.  He appreciated the  Field Outreach Bureau for organising awareness programmes and sharing crucial information on Covid through such awareness camps.

The Principal of the host Institution highlighted the importance of holding awareness programmes and hailed the administration for selecting his institute for the informative awareness programmes.

Dr. Manzoor Hussain Choudhary, Block Medical Officer educated the participants about the SOPs and guidelines for containing the spread of deadly virus and keeping third wave at bay.  He informed that 100% of the population above 18 year has been vaccinated with the first dose and above 75% with 2nd dose of vaccination against Covid-19 in Sunderbani sub-division.

Durdrishti, Community Health Officer, Sunderbani spoke on the role of the health department in vaccination and spreading the awareness about Covid-19 and providing medical facilities to the needy.

Joginder Pal Sharma, Teacher who also acted as resource person delivered the keynote address on various aspects and provisions of Covid related issues.  He also highlighted the importance of holding awareness programmes for the benefit of masses.

Gurnam Singh, I/C Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri also interacted with the audience and spoke on promotion of Covid Vaccination and CAB.  He also informed the students about the aim of celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with special reference to the life of Martyr Birsa Munda.

Another attraction of the day long was announcements through vans in Sunderbani and its adjoining areas which was flagged off by the ADC, Sunderbani in presence of R. C. Sharma, Principal, Manzoor Hussain . BMO and Staff and students of Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School.
