Ramban, November 16: District Industries Centre, Ramban today organised an awareness camp on Prime Minister’s Employment Guarantee Programme and other schemes in industrial & service sectors, here on Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Campus.
While welcoming the participants, General Manager DIC Ramban , VishwaJeet highlighted various schemes being implemented by the UT as well Central Government, so as to make the youth job creators instead of job seekers.
The GM asked the participants to register themselves with the DIC to take benefits / subsidies of various youth and beneficiary oriented schemes. He also highlighted the benefits of self-employment generation schemes and encouraged the youth to start their small ventures under the PMEGP scheme in manufacturing and service sectors.
The Functional Manager Sunil Kumar also sensitised the participants about procedures and various formalities required for registration under MSME and uploading of application forms under PMEGP scheme besides educating all the outgoing trainees of ITI about benefits of enrollment with DIC.
The Superintendent of ITI, Baldev Raj and PRI Members lauded the efforts of DIC for organizing the programme besides guiding them about various schemes.
