Shopian, November 13: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited various areas of the district to take first hand appraisal of progress on developmental Projects/works.
During the visit, the DDC inspected the under-construction work of Wachi Bridge being executed by R&B department, under- construction work of Indoor Stadium, Zainapora also executed by R&B department coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 78 lacs.
The DDC directed for speeding up the ongoing work on a war-footing basis.
He also inspected the widening work of the Zainapora to Hydergund road and impressed upon the ACD to gear up men and machinery to complete the road within stipulated time frame.
Later, the DDC conducted surprise inspection of the Sub District Hospital Zainapora, checked various wards, interacted with the patients and enquired from them about the medicare facilities being provided to them by the hospital authorities. He also inspected the under construction boiling point for the Oxygen generation plant and directed for its early completion.
On his way to Zainapora, the DDC interacted with the people who apprised him of their problems. He listened to their issues and demands and assured for redressal within a time bound manner.
The DDC directed the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of ongoing developmental works to ensure timely road connectivity to the area.
He also directed the District Officers to work in a collective and responsible manner for redressing the issues of the people who have great expectations with the Government. He directed them to pace up the speed of work to ensure the timely completion of these works.
The DDC was accompanied by SDM, Zainapora, Mushtaq Ahmed, ACD, Shopian, Hial Ahmed Jeri, Tehsildar concerned and other officers of executing agencies.
