Ramban, November 08: An awareness camp cum review meeting on Forest Rights Act, 2006 was held today at Sangaldan.
The meeting was convened by the Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Gool Gias- ul –Haq who is also the Chairperson of SDLC. Divisional Forest Officer Ramban, Dr. Rajan Singh was the Special Guest.
While reviewing the progress, the Chairperson SDLC Gool asked the FRC members to process the claims received so far on a fast track basis and ensured that the necessary assistance for field verification will be provided whenever asked by the FRC Chairman(S).
Responding to the queries raised by the participants, the DFO Ramban cleared the doubts with regard to procedure and technicalities on FRA, 2006.
Range Officer Gool, Rajinder Singh Parihar, field staff of Revenue, Forest and Rural Development Department besides Chairperson and Secretaries of FRCs participated in the awareness camp.
