Srinagar, November 08:  During the knockout 2nd of the ongoing inter department (employees) T-20 cricket tournament 2021, being played at the University of Kashmir ground, the Departmental team of Youth Services and Sports (YS&S) Department today defeated Kashmir University (KU) by 52 runs.

With a magnificent start by team captain Bilal Shams and all-rounder Parminder Singh, YS&S managed to score 195.

Adil Sofi added 53 runs on 24 balls, while Imtiyaz scored 30 on 14 balls and Parminder Singh scored 24 on 14 balls.

Chasing the target, Kashmir University team collapsed on mere 143 runs as Bilal Shamas took 3 wickets on 25 runs while Rafiq, Mudasir and Parminder each scalped 1 wicket.

Director, Youth Services & Sports in a tweet has congratulated team manager Azhar Haajni and his teammates of the department for this magnificent victory and has hoped that the team will maintain this winning spirit in other matches as well.

16 teams from various government departments are participating in the cricket tourney being organised by the University of Kashmir.
